Photon-based Therapy and Radiation Therapy is a well established treatment in the practice of dermatology.

Superficial Radiation Therapy has a place in the dermatologists office.

XRT is an excellent choice for the treatment of elderly patients.  XRT can be the treatment of choice when the patient may not be a surgical candidate.  Especially if the patient is on blood thinners or other medications. He or she may not be able to tolerate surgery or there are places where XRT performs better cosmetically.

The most compelling reason to add SRT to a practice?  There are many patients that feel like they have been operated on too much and are looking for a non-surgical solution.  SRT also lightens the surgical load allowing you to see more patients.
